According to the Indian Meteorological Department, the two-month period of March-April constitutes the spring season in India. New leaves on trees, birds and bees everywhere, and then the flowers!

This season brings so many festivals—Holi, Vasant Panchami, Gudi Padwa, Easter, Ramzan, and more. Besides, we have Baisakhi, Vishu, Rongali Bihu, Naba Barsha, Vaisakhadi, and Puthandu-Pirappu in different parts of the country in mid-April.

The song that I chose for today is a spring song. Usually, most spring songs speak of romantic love. However, this is different in that it talks of love for humanity. It says that spring’s beauty and bounty should be shared.

Isn’t that the need of the hour? Much beleaguered by the pandemic, unnecessary strife, and a multitude of other problems, the world needs people who care and share.
