The last verse of this song morphs into something of a love song but the first two verses are some great mantras to live your life by. A little happiness, a little sorrow, a little heat and a little shade, together they make life.

I am not a fan of the movie, but the song is a favourite of mine. I love Kishore Kumar’s voice here, soft, slightly introspective, with a little melancholy. And I listen to it again and again for just that. There’s also some whistling (I think!) adding a nice background to the gentle music of Laxmikant Pyarelal, which makes the song very hummable and easy on the ears. Enjoy! ~ R
