Na chahoon sona chaandi

Aagey naari
Tujya matyancha phoolan paaya saoree
Aagey naari
Tujya matyancha phoolan paaya saoree

La la la…

[Dialogue between Premnath and Rishi Kapoor]

Na chahoon sona chaandi
Na chahoon heera moti
Yeh mere kis kaam ke

Aaa...

Na mangoon bangla baadi
Na mangoon ghoda gadi
Yeh toh hai bas naam ke

Aaa…

Deta hai dil de
Badle me dil ke
Deta hai dil de
Badle me dil ke

Ghe ghe ghe ghe
Ghe re saahiba
Pyaar mein sauda nahin
Ghe ghe ghe ghe
Ghe re saahiba
Pyaar mein sauda nahin

Oila oila la la…

Na janoo mulla kaazi
Na janoo kaba kaashi
Main toh hoon prem pyaasa re
Mere sapnon ki rani
Hogi tumko hairani
Main toh tera deewana re
Deti hai dil de
Badle me dil ke
Deti hai dil de
Badle me dil ke

Ghe ghe ghe ghe
Ghe re saahiba
Pyaar mein sauda nahin
Ghe ghe ghe ghe
Ghe re saahiba
Pyaar mein sauda nahin

Movie: Bobby (1973)
Director: Raj Kapoor
Singers: Shailendra Singh, Manna Dey
Lyricist: Vithalbhai Patel
Music Composer: Laxmikant Pyarelal

A poet, lyricist, and senior Congress leader from Madhya Pradesh, Vitthalbhai Patel, wrote five collections of poems as well as the lyrics to 55 Hindi film songs.
Some of his most popular songs are from the 1973 hit movie Bobby. I chose this song because I like the central theme of its lyrics—pyaar mein sauda nahin.
Manna Dey sings the Premnath portions and Shailendra Singh the Rishi Kapoor parts of this song. Midway through it, Dimple Kapadia appears and looks adorable as she waits to perform the song that immediately follows (Jhooth boley kauva katey).
Both songs have the pomp and show associated with Raj Kapoor’s direction. Here's remembering Patel on his birth anniversary (21 May). ~ S
