This song is different on many counts. It is short, maybe because it is the film's title track. I have no special memories associated with it, except having heard my mother sing it and having watched it on ‘Chitrageet’ on Doordarshan. I haven’t seen the film nor do I know its plot. 

The lyrics and the way Mubarak Begum has sung the song gives me the chills. The picturisation is tame compared to the song. I always feel that the lyrics lend themselves to so much more. ~ S
